Christmas is a time to pause and spend time with the people who matter most, and I want to wish everyone across Huntingdonshire a very merry Christmas.

The past few years have not been easy for many households, and I know that pressures on family budgets and local services are still felt by too many people.

But over the last year, I’ve also seen real reasons to be hopeful. Across our towns and villages, people continue to look out for one another – through local charities, community groups, volunteers and small acts of everyday kindness that often go unseen.

Since being elected, it’s been a privilege to spend time listening to residents about the issues that matter most to them, and to take those voices into Parliament.

I’m determined to keep working to make sure our area gets a fair deal and that national decisions reflect the reality of life here in Huntingdonshire.

Christmas is a moment to slow down, reflect, and check in on those around us – especially anyone who might be finding the season difficult. Even a small gesture can make a real difference.

I hope this Christmas brings some rest, comfort and time together, and that the year ahead brings renewed optimism for our community.

My very best wishes to you and your families for a peaceful Christmas and a happy New Year.
