Orton Goldhay and Malborne are set to benefit from £20 million of long-term funding through the Government’s Plan for Neighbourhoods. This is a huge opportunity to invest in the services, spaces and facilities that matter most to local residents.

Alongside Orton, communities in Paston, Gunthorpe and the Welland, north of the river, will also receive £20 million of funding. This investment recognises the need to back neighbourhoods right across our region.

I want this investment in the Ortons to be driven by the community itself – the people who know it best. That’s why I’m asking residents to share ideas and priorities for how the money should be used. Whether it’s improving youth services, creating safer streets, supporting local facilities, or something else entirely, your views will help guide the changes we can make together.

This is about building a stronger future for Orton – one shaped by the people who live there.
